Volume 3 is the third instalment of a series of internal marketing brochures produced for and by CPI. In 2017 we decided to launch a competition for students in London to contribute to the content for Volume 3 and so we developed a collaboration with the University of East London.
Students from the University submitted photographs they had taken focused on the theme of “My London” which were then judged by a panel of 4 judges from the creative and design industries. The panel selected 8 images in total to feature in Volume 3. The grand prize winner received a cash prize and their image featured on the front cover.
The brochure itself is printed in an unusual size to attract attention, includes fluro ink, special metallic and spot varnish. It is thread sewn with a specially dyed thread to match the fluro green on the inside cover. We also included a small insert with details of the competition which was also designed and printed in-house on stock produced from recycled paper cups.
